What are the most popular types of Indian sarees?

How do I know a saree is genuine handloom?
Look for the Handloom Mark or a GI tag, small irregularities in the weave, and a pattern that reads on both faces of the cloth. Every Aurima product page names the cluster and the family the piece came from, and lists the marks that piece carries.
Are Aurima sarees authentic, and how is that certified?
Yes. Every saree is sourced at the loom and ships with the certification tags it qualifies for: the GI Mark, which confirms the weave was made in the region whose name it carries; the Silk Mark from the Central Silk Board, which confirms the fabric is 100% natural silk; and the Handloom Mark, which confirms it was woven by hand rather than on a power loom. Each product page lists exactly which marks that piece holds — and says so plainly when a piece holds none.
Which Indian saree is best for a wedding?
A Kanjivaram, Banarasi or Paithani in pure silk with real zari holds its structure through a long day and photographs well under warm light. For a guest rather than the bride, a lighter Chanderi or tussar is more comfortable.
