About our cotton sarees

Cotton is the everyday end of the Indian saree, and the hardest to fake convincingly. Chanderi from Madhya Pradesh gets its glassy transparency from silk yarn that is never degummed. Kota Doria from Rajasthan is woven in tiny khat squares of alternating cotton and silk, making it the lightest saree you can buy. Bengal jamdani is a UNESCO-listed craft where every motif goes in freehand with no pattern to follow. All of them sit under 500 grams, breathe in real heat, and cost a fraction of what the same hours in silk would.
