Our silk sarees come from the four weaving traditions that built the reputation of Indian silk: the korvai-bordered Kanjivaram from Kanchipuram, the zari brocade Banarasi from Varanasi, the tapestry-woven Paithani from Maharashtra, and the double-ikat Patola from Patan. Each is woven from mulberry silk on a handloom, carries the marks it genuinely qualifies for, and holds a pleat through a long wedding day — which is why silk remains the weave chosen for the occasions that get photographed.
